Mmmmm Memories Of Old Times

So lately I've been thinking, there hasn't been any console games that I really want to play in a while. Partially the reason why I haven't been keeping up with new consoles is because I'm too broke, but the biggest issue is just that there isn't games that I really want to play so I don't feel like it's worth it for me to get a system that expensive.

Though lately this game is tempting me to want to play console again. But I guess it's still not worth it just for one game. Anyway, this game is Muramasa The Demon Blade 朧村正. I really like the art from this game too. Always liked the ninja / samurai type of theme on video games. 2D sidescroll adventure is where its at.

Not too sure what the role this character is in the game. But I thought she look cute in this picture.

Even find the title design look cool.

This reminds me my all time favourite game was Gambare Goemon 2 五右衛門. Which was made long ago on Super Nintendo but I still find that game super fun to play.

Even the designs are just too funny hahahahha. Too bad they start making it 3D and I find that it's not as fun. Another note worthy samurai game is Brave Fencer Musashi, which I think sounds a bit lame compare to the Japanese title Musashiden 武蔵伝. This is a 3D action RPG. Too bad it wasn't popular at all even though I really liked it back then.

Cool game title design too.

Now this my all time favourite character since I play him from Stryder Hiryu 1, Stryder Hiryu 2, then later on Marvel vs Capcom and Marvel vs Capcom 2.

Mmmmm maybe I'll start drawing samurai and ninjas again. I think over the year I forgot why I started drawing. Now I slowly try to remember the fun times. Come to think about it I used to draw bomberman like ninjas wayyy back in grade 3-4 ish. Haha it was fun, I also doodle weapons a lot.

Hahahaha looks so lame. Though it really was fun times. Maybe it's time to draw stuff like that again. In anycase... omg it's 3:28 AM.... fail.....

LOL Messy Sketch... Oh Well

So today I went to eat sushi with a friend around Spadina and Bloor. We met up first by the 7-11 at the corner. This reminds me that I used to go to 7-11 a lot back then to play arcade. There was a 7-11 close by my highschool and they had Marvel vs. Streetfighter. It was like the shit at the time. And I remember I had to battle kids from a private school near by. They'd pop by with their fancy uniform it was quite funny.

I remember it was competitive at the time. Like 50 cents can mean life and death to highschool kids. OK maybe not that crazy but the point is people that play there were serious. Any opening means eating super in the face. Too bad arcades aren't popular anymore, though it was still fun time. So I did a rough sketch about it. The stuff on the shelf are nachos, sandwiches and hotdogs. The the hotdogs are weird in scale cuz honestly I got lazy when I start drawing them.

Haha ok not top quality drawing but I guess at least I started drawing. Gonna improve upon that tomorrow. On a side note, I walked by the magazine section and noticed these 2 magazines.

Didn't know they have English Shonen Jump here now. Though I wonder how recent the issue is.

And when I see this. Somehow it immediately remind me of Eddie lol. No offense Eddie you're still my friend. Haha anyway. Thought that was funny.

Ahhhh...... arcade and highschool memories. They used to call me "the glasses guy" in the arcade at Yorkdale cuz I own all their asses. Though I admit kids that play there aren't very good so it's easy lol. Too bad arcades aren't popular anymore. A lot of arcades closed down, guess I just gotta stick to Mugen to satisfy my fighting needs. In anycase... it's pretty late again....

Mmmmm....... Trailed Off Big Time

Mmmm...... Been slacking on my blog. Probably been like a week ish now since I update it? Been drawing stuff I can't post. Also when I do have time to draw on my own I just got lazy and side tracked. In anycase I'll try to post again this week.

To get things rolling. I'll post the souvenir Mujia got for me from China. A piggy wiper thingie haha.

This is the instruction tag that was originally shoved in the piggie's ass. lol I guess it's for cellphones.

This is to demonstrate how it should be used. Yes fingers up the ass.

The bottom side has a different material cloth that is used for the actual wiping process. Pretty cool eh. Now I don't have to wipe my cellphone with my hands or t-shirt. Now that I think about it I should've taken a picture of the Apple Magic Mouse I got her for the birthday. Oh well maybe I'll just ask her to post it on her blog.

Bah Missed A Post Yesterday

Mmmmm........ gotta say I've been pretty busy lately + distracted by stupid stuff. So I ran out of time to update my blog yesterday, damn it. First unintentional skip since I started blogging again. Been trying to set up this site for my mom about Agel. It's sorta like health supplements but in gel form (taste like grape jam). That and I was updating my portfolio also starting a new freelance job.

Though I have to admit, the majority of my time went to stupid stuff like playing Plants vs Zombies.

It's kind of like a tower defense type of game, except zombie only travel in straight line and you have to guard 5 lines to prevent zombies get into your house and eat your brain.

My other distraction was Kekkaishi manga. I've been reading it for a while but since it wasn't popular the release was slow. I recently found an updated site so I start reading like crazy again, read till 5 AM yesterday (sorta why I didn't have time to blog). Watch, this series is probably gonna get popular later. See I always do cool stuff before it's popular like reading Bleach and Naruto and listening to emo music. I'm just too cool so people want to follow lol.

Here's Kekkaishi, and apparently it's made into anime now too.

So funny thing is, I guess even though I took a break on World of Warcraft. I still find other stupid stuff to do so I'm only slightly more productive than the time when I was playing WOW. Sigh... maybe I need a break from internet or something.

Here's Agel. Think of it as really expensive Coolaid packaged health supplements. I'll put up more information about it later.

Alright, tomorrow I'll have work on the freelance stuff and keep updating the blog about Agel, so gotta sleep now.

Portfolio Update

So I finally updated my portfolio pages. Honestly it's such a minor update I don't know why it took me so long to start, though after I started I literally did it in 1 day. Now I can start applying for jobs again, and I'll just get my updated demo reel in later this week.

Oh and as I stated, I was kind feeling crappy last week. But I don't know what happened, somehow I feel pretty good now lol. I mean I'm still as lost but I guess I'll just figure things out as I go. But I find music and movies had always helped me getting over emoness.

This reminds me, I find after i stop playing world of warcraft. I've become slightly more productive, thought still not as productive as I wanted to largely because I just use the time to watch movie instead haha.

So this weekend I saw 40 Year Old Virgin

And The House Bunny.

Both movies are pretty hilarious. Though I have to admit, I downloaded these two movies because I became a Kat Dennings fan after seeing Nick And Norah's Infinite Playlist. That and I guess I sort of always wanted to watch these two movies anyway.

40 Year Old Virgin was pretty hilarious and sad at the same time. Because personally I do think I am quite horrible at dealing with women (though probably not as bad as that guy in the movie). So I really really hope I won't end up like that.

The House Bunny is alright, sometimes it's funny sometimes it's funny in a sad way. Honestly I feel sorry for the actress in this movie because they have to act really really dumb for certain parts of the movie. Though after watching The House Bunny, now I became a fan of Emma Stone (LOL I get distracted too easily). Seen her from Superbad, then recently Zombieland, and now The House Bunny.

Now I still have Harry Potter The Half Blood Prince and 500 Days Of Summer (suggested by Mujia) to watch. This reminds me that time where I saw 6 movies in 2 days, that was fun. Should probably do that again when I get a chance.

In anycase, I should probably sleep now. Still got a lot of work to do this week. Didn't get to sketch today, maybe I'll try to see if I get time tomorrow. As for now...

Mmmmm gonna be a rushy post tonight. Cuz I got home so late and didn't have time to think about cool material so I'll just post this. A funny picture I saw on my friend's Facebook. Blade vs Twilight, time to finish the teenie money making franchise. Hahah thought it was pretty funny.

As I mentioned earlier, today is the day we celebrate Mujia's birthday. So I had to go to tennant's house to carry the log we chop down from backyard to frontyard in the afternoon. Probably walked between front and back yard like 30-40 times back and forth. Then went to Eaton Centre to get present for Mujia only to find out it's sold out (fail). Then we went to AGO (abusing the free admission), then went to Made In China for food, then Just Desserts for cake. Pretty fun night though I'm like so tired after I got home. And my legs are dead from walking so much today.

But yeah sorry my brain's kinda dead / fried tonight so I guess I'll write more tomorrow. Should just sleep now.

MG Goku Gundam

Apparently Bandai has decide that Master Grade Gundams are not cool enough anymore. So they made a Master Grade Goku !!! Haha that's kind of funny because it's built the exact same way. From the picture in the background you can vaguely see the "tree" that you use to cut off pieces and snap them together to make models. Wonder how this will turn out haha.

Another random note, so apparently one of my younger cousin (grade 9) has been skipping school for about 2 weeks now. And when we asked him why he keep on saying "I don't know". So as of now we still don't know why, I wonder if something happened at school. Probably have to talk to people from school to find out.

So my aunt was asking me to see if I can talk to him. I mean I did try but all I get is still "I don't know". Though this reminds me, I wonder why people ask me for advice or assistance sometimes. Back then my friend would talk to me when he broke up with his girlfriend. But I always thought, what do I know about relationship (been single forever). That and I'm usually in a worse shithole than the person asking for advice. Just find that ironic.

Sorry about the posting this week, at this rate I don't think I'll get to draw anything until next week. But hey I'd still post other random stuff, just won't be about my drawing. So tomorrow is going to be a long day. Gonna have to go buy present for Mujia (oh shit I think she reads this too lol sorry I am the last minute kind of guy), then have to carry the tree branches out for this house my mom's renting out now before the yard waste collection on Thursday, then we're going to AGO (cuz it's free on Wed), then we're going to have dinner to celebrate my friend Mujia's birthday, then possibly desserts after.

In anycase, which means I should sleep soon I'll need the energy tomorrow. That and I've been trying to chnage my sleeping pattern lately.

So I Saw Zombieland Today

Well originally I was suppose to see it with my friends. But it's getting closer and closer to sound like one of those things we talk about but will not actually happen. So I end up seeing it with my cousins instead. Yeah movie on a Monday night is kinda random but I guess I just didn't want to stay home.

So... the movie was alright. I think I got ruined by the review again, was hyped up so much that I was expecting more. It's really just an alright movie but nowhere close to being the funniest movie of the year. But at least it's another movie I can relate to (why do I always relate myself to some dumbass main character types). Though I do agree that I wish one day I can find the girl that I can take home with (the main guy said that). I wonder when that day will be. Maybe when 90% of the population are dead then I'll find someone.

Oh one of my friend mentioned before that she thinks I'm too perssimistic. But it's really not that I'm too perssimistic, it's just that I'm always too optimistic so I just get screwed over. So now I try to be more cautious (aka prepare for the worst), that's all.

In anycase gonna try to sleep early again. Slept from 1 am to 1 pm yesterday. That was fun, gonna do that again.

Ugh I Suck At Designing Template Cont

So...... after struggling for so long and copy this guy's style I still manage to only pull off a half assed template. Oh well... at least now I have something to update to... sorta. Here it is.

Yes I actually have to draw poop for work, how awesome is that. Though I'm not using that for my actual portfolio, this is just for demonstration. Though drawing this for work was kinda fun and nasty at the same time. Oh well ~

Oh, so yeah another reason why it took so long is cuz I had to pull out Illustrator when I work on this. Just simply can't draw a fine line freehand with Photoshop. That and I haven't use Illustrator in ages so it's a lot of playing around. Still not good with it yet but at least I made something.

So today I went out in the afternoon. After I come home from subway which is around 5:00 PM. I notice there are police out there blocking the streets outside Glencairn Station. So I asked them it turns out someone got hit by another guy driving a stolen car. Man that sounds horrible. But I'm sorta suprised. Though this area is occupied by rich jewish people. Didn't expect this kind of stuff to happen in this neighbourhood.

Shitty part is, since they blocked it off, I have to walk allllllll the way around to get home.

LOL ok even though it's all the way around I guess it's still not that far. I sorta live really close to begin with anyway.

Here's another pic with the police, didn't want to stand too close taking picture in case they're like "yo wtf you doing". So here it is.

So while I'm out taking pictures, figure I'll take a pic of my neighbour's house being build. I swear Canadians build houses too fast, it's like building lego blocks. I don't even build gundam models that fast. This is the before pic, which happened this summer.

This is after they semi tore down the old house. It's about mid summer when they did this. So probably only been like 3-4 months and now they have this.

Oh so for those who want to be my neighbour just buy this house after it's done LOL. But yeah anyway, 4:00 AM again soooo I'm gonna sleep.

Ugh I Suck At Designing Template

So... I've been slacking off for about 2 months now since I'm off job. Figure it's time to really pick it up and start looking for job hardcore now.

Originally I was sorta just lazy and also use the excuse that since I can't post stuff I worked on until the show airs on TV (cuz it's company property). So I haven't really update my portfolio at all. But it actually aired this Thursday 8:30 ET on channel APTN. Meaning I can't use that excuse anymore and should really post the stuff up. Though I want a white background so my old template will no longer work meaning it's time to make a new one.

First I'm debating if i want to re-use my old logo type of thing, I mean it's sorta cute but at the sametime it kinda convey a bad image lol. It's like a perverted pig reading XXX magazine while being dead? or angel, I don't know what I was thinking when I designed that. I mean ok I will openly admit I'm a pervert but I'm not sure if I want the company hiring me to know that too. Though I guess they hire me for my art skill anyway.... soooo....... I don't know..... pending decision.......

Ok this should really be black but I don't know why it's showing up as dark brown/green but it's 3:35 AM now so I'm really really not gonna fix it.

This brings me to another point that is I really really really do suck at designing templates. I was playing aroudn with it all nigth and couldn't come up with anything. So far I'm thinking something along the line like this type of stuff.

And maybe just design the edges like that and leave the middle blank for me to show my art work. But I'm still working on it as you can see it's 3:35 AM. Originally I want to finish it before I sleep but I'm giving up now I think I'm just gonna finish it tomorrow.

So sorry for those that actually read my posts. No funny drawing for you today cuz my brain is fried and it's too late at night. Tonight felt like the night before a major assignment is due. Where I think I should work but is just too tired to do so nor motivated to do it.

Oh on a random note so today I just found out there's actually people reading my posts now. Damn now I can't slack off anymore LOL. But yeah initially I stay away from naming specific people just because I don't know who reads my blog yet. So I always mention "my friend" or "this person", but now I don't really care anymore so I'll use their actual name from now on. As it already happened in the last post.

Anyway, hopefully I'll get the template done tomorrow. Also hopefully I'll actually get to draw something stupid too.

Halloween Weekend

Hey so this is the Halloween weekend, been a long and tiring weekend with a lot of activity (even though most are not really Halloween related anyway lol).

In anycase, so I end up not dressing up even though I said I might dress up on my last post. I guess because something came up so the Halloween party at Bonnie's was in jeopardy, but it end up happening anyway though at that point I was too rushed to think about costume so I just went as is. In the end we all just went to Bonnie's and eat hot pot and watch stupid video and look at silly pictures (by silly I mean gross).

On a side note, Felipe just came back from his Hong Kong trip and got me a interesting sourvenir. It's something I found online randomly and showed him, then he somehow magically actually found it in Hong Kong and got it for me, that was pretty cool.

In any case, back to the party. So as I stated earlier, after the hot pot we start watching random videos. One of the video we came by was Buffy The Vampire Slayer. We started watching the episode with the Gentlemen demons that silence everyone and take their heart. Though I never knew how popular these guys are. There's even lego toys made about them.

Though through out the night we keep cracking jokes about them. Since they float, so it look like they're just travelling on segway and gliding along. For those who don't know a segway is a transportaiton device that balance itself and if you lean forward it will move forward.

Though I found a random stupid funny picture online which I think is awesome and a lot cheaper than the actual segway (though it might not do its job).

After that I start noticing those guys have the most retarded facial expression.

The guy at the back have their mouse open so wide that it look unnatural. It's like as if they stuck watermellon in their mouse. So in the end I come up with this conclusion:

Kind of a rushed drawing because I'm really tired after the crazy weekend. But hey at least today's post is long isn't it haha (although still only 1 drawing). Anyway, I'll improve the drawing quality tomorrow. As of now sleep sounds like a really good idea.

Hopefully I'll actually get to dress up for next year's Halloween. Until then...

So...... I Revampted The Gift For My Sifu

Yeah..... after my mom saw my last version, she complained that the writings are too ugly and the face should be a bit wider. So I'm like ok, it's easy to change things around because it's done digitally.

Then I opened the program only to find out I overrite the photoshop file with the jpeg file. Basically I forgot that after I choose save as... it still work off the photoshop file. So I clicked save thinking I'm saving the jpeg file (which I used for posting the pic 2 days ago).

In short I got royally screwed over with a flattened image. So today I have to trace over the old drawing to make a new one, good thing this actually didn't took too long. Though i find the new drawing kind of mmmm...... too wimpy bitchy looking. Doesn't quite have the same PAW in your face feel as the original one. And my mom doesn't want the writing any fatter, she want it more "proper" looking. But I don't know... at this point I'm just too tired, so I guess I'll leave it.

On a side note, it's Halloween in 2 days. My friend invite me over to her house for a sorta halloween get together. But I'm still not sure what to wear as my costume. Kinda broke lately doesn't want to buy costume so that would mean I need to be creative with what I have at home... mmmm I'll dig into my closet tomorrow and see what I have. Worst comes to worst I'll just grab feathers from my pillow and stuck it to my back and call myself Jay Chou as my Halloween costume or something....

Gonna sleep earlier for once (earlier... relative term lol).

Late CN Tower Stair Climb Report

Well me and 2 of my friends went to the CN tower stair climb this year. It was on Saturday (4 days ago) and I've been busy since so didn't have time to write or draw something about it.

So yeah, when we got there there were a group of fun boys that are super ultra excited about the climb. They all are super energetic (it's freaking 9 in the morning on Saturday) and wear the shortest shorts mankind have ever invented. They also seem to have a good time when they security check people are touching them with the metal detectors. They manage to got up there around the same time as us so we come down in the same elevator again, haha personally I think they were funny but my friend were grossed out by it because she thinks they shouldn't raise their arm up all the time (maybe it's sweaty or maybe it's arm pits or maybe it's both?).

As for the drawing, personally I think it's quite fail was trying colouring with sketchbook pro, and the colour wheel feels weird. Maybe I need to stop testing stuff cuz I always think it's fail.

Though I'll admit I was thinking for a lot of different drawing ideas but not too sure to go with which. Finally Almost Done

So as promised I finished the drawing that's suppose to be a gift for m wing chun teacher. This is the first time I try to do something like this, so I'm not exactly satisfied with it. Find I probably would have more control if I used an actual brush (I did it on photoshop instead). I might still play around with it a bit until Friday before I print it out put it in a frame and give it to my sifu.

At least this time I didn't leave it till the absolute last min so I guess I do have time to change or adjust things if I want to. The background I used is a fake paper, in real life I'd actually have to find a paper that colour and then print it on that. I did a test on construction paper i found at home except it keeps giving my printer paper jam. So I'll see....

In any case, I broke my record of sleeping late. This is horrible and feels like school all over again "oh shit have to pull an allnighter to finish this assignment" lol. But like I said at least it's done and i still have time to fix it. Now I'm gonna go enjoy my sleep without worries wooohoooooo ~

LOL Semi Cheating Today

So this Friday is the last class for the Wing Chun martial art I've been taking. 12 sessions and once per week, so it's been 3 months since I've been taking it and it's finally reaching an end. So my mom want me to draw something for the sifu as a parting gift.

Ok so I did draw something for it today, except it's super rough and as a general rule, only Andre can understand Andre's rough drawings. So I'm not gonna bother posting it because it's just gonna look super weird and doesn't make sense and ugly looking. It will be done in one or two days anyway so I'll just show the final when it done.

But since you came here I guess you'd expect to see some pictures (yeah art students doesn't read, I know). So I'm just gonna post something from before to fill the spots for today haha. Here it is, it's a drawing I did last year as practice for the cut and paste design contest.

The idea of the contest is that you're suppose to do your design live on the big screen in 15 minutes, so the audience can see how you did it as part of the experience. So essentially, you need to be able to start from scratch and finish it within 15 min, therefore it's kind of impossible to have something too crazy. In anycase, my topic was "bliss", so this is the piece I did.

Omg I fail today....

I'm suppose to post one drawing a day, but I guess I slacked off today -_______-

Been a crazy weekend, Friday I did martial art class then slept over at friend's house. Saturday woke up early to go to CN Tower stair climb, pacific mall, friend's birthday dinner, bar, bubble tea, got home at 3 AM. Sunday woke up early again to get gardening stuff, then family grocery shopping, overall didn't get much sleep so after i got home I just end up doing nothing.

Well.... not exactly nothing, so I just watched Nick And Norah's Infinite Playlist to relax. A pretty nice feel good cute comedy type of movie. Too bad I watched it myself that's kind of sad though I guess it's alright because I felt like I can relate to the main character and I learned something from it. That and Kat Dennings is really cute in that movie LOL. Though despite those reasons I'd still recommand people to watch this, and I'm glad I picked this over Bleach Movie 3 or Fast and Furious 4 haha. (Yes I know my movie choices are very random and non-related but those are the ones I have at the time)

In anycase, I need to finally get some real good night sleep, so for today I apologize I gotta post some non-drawing but I promise I'll post something cool again (I hope). So goodnight, and goodmorning ~

Still experimenting....

So today is the 2nd day that I start drawing again... still playing around with autodesk sketchbook pro. Find I'm slowly getting used to it but there's still a lot of room of improvement. Good thing not too many people read my blog anyway (if any at all... lol).

In any case, so i did a 4 panel comic today just for fun, I always think about funny scenarios so I'll probably draw more of that here and there. Though the issue i find today is that sketchbook pro doesn't have any text editing tools, so I just drew all the letters by hand (ghetto style).

Haha my friend will probably hate me for drawing this because she hates scary stuff. It's also really messily drawn but it's 3:54 AM now so I really should sleep so I'll just leave it. Should really stop drawing last minute ultra late at night -______-||

So...... I didn't keep my promise on the last post, I hope I can keep the promise this time and actually start posting more often now ahahhahahha.

Anyway.... so a friend suggest me to do a drawing a day for the next 7 days (by suggest I mean life threats lol). So I installed Sketchbook Pro the other day, I think I'll start drawing a bit each day and see how that goes.

Day one, not too used to the program yet so I didn't draw much also this first drawing is kinda ghetto -_______- but it's 3:42 AM I'm really tired so I'll just post it so I won't get killed tomorrow. Here it is..... lol

wow I just realize I haven't really use this blog since I created it, I think back then I was too distracted by school and some other things, also I guess I was a bit intimidated since I thought it might be really complicated to upload stuff, well it turns out to be really simple haha.

In anycase, now that I've figure things out, I think I'll start updating my blogs more often, so I'll talk to you guys soon :D
